to Kreuz Market on Mapquest
Starting in March 2008 and lasting approximately
9 months will be an overpass project to take US 183 over the railroad
crossing. During and after construction, this will cause great confusion
and delays for everyone using US 183 through Lockhart which includes our
customers. The following are alternate routes that may be used to bypass
the construction and eventually the overpass so customers may still easily
access Kreuz Market.
FROM
THE NORTH (CLICK FOR MAP): Coming south on US 183, turn right on N.
Commerce right after the DeLeon funeral home and right before the produce
stand. N. Commerce runs right behind Kreuz Market and we have an
entrance back there.
FROM
THE SOUTH (CLICK FOR MAP): Coming north on US 183, turn left at either
San Antonio (stop light), Walnut St (right before Glosserman Chevrolet) or
E. Pecan St (right after Glosserman Chevrolet). After EITHER left turn,
take the first right onto N. Commerce which runs behind Kreuz Market.
There is an entrance on that street or on Cemetery St. which runs to the
south of Kreuz Market.
Upon completion, there will be a one way feeder
road constructed to the north of the overpass which customers may use to
enter Kreuz Market, but NOT TO EXIT. The feeder will simply run in a
circle and not take you back out to US 183. Both alternate routes above
will serve as exits back to the highway. For safety reasons, we recommend
our northbound customers proceed from N. Commerce to Flores St. one block
to the north to make a safe left turn back onto US 183 at the traffic
light. Southbound customers can proceed south on N. Commerce and take any
left to return to US 183 to the south.
We apologize for the confusion, but after months
of dealing with the powers that be regarding this matter, this was their
best solution to our access problem caused by the new overpass. |
